The Hope for Kenya "formerly Paper Discovery-Neenah" Duathlon & 5k Run in its tenth year will again be held at Riverside Park in Neenah, WI. We are proud to partner with Run Kenya for Orphans to raise money to provide support, education, and healthcare to AIDS orphans through Tumaini International, a non-profit. This venue has ample parking. Family friendly, the event has a panoramic view of the river and features a playground where kids can gather and have a good time.

DISTANCE
   Duathlon: 2 mile run, 20 mile bike, 2 mile run

   5k Run/Walk: 3.1 miles

THE COURSE
Run Course 
The run course starts in picturesque Riverside Park, goes by the Bergstrom Museum and then to the scenic shoreline of Lake Winnebago on Lakeshore Ave. It continues around Kimberly Point and re-enters onto the Riverside Park trails overlooking the water channel and downtown Neenah.
Bike Course
Starting at Riverside Park, course heads south on Park Ave., to Hwy A and then west (Hwy G) on well paved, flat and fast country roads. It heads south on Pendelton and then west out to Rhyner Rd. and then back on Cty G. Then back through residential area of Neenah and back to the park.
Run Course
Same run as the first leg finishing in Riverside Park next to the water.

          approx. 8 a.m. - 5K START (after the last wave of Duathlon Start)

PERKS
We provide technically sound, safe, and exciting events.  Participants receive a
DRI WICK SHIRT, food and fun after the event.

Bike racks will have your race number and wave you start in.  Each mile on the run courses will be marked.  All courses will have highly visible signage for each turn. 

Results will be posted at pttiming.com. 

AWARDS
Awards given to the overall male/female and traditional age divisions.
This event is part of the Aurora BayCare Series which offers additional prizes.

PLANS FOR INCLIMATE WEATHER
1.    Delay the start of the race up to 1:30 hrs.

2.    Modify the course
3.    Cancel the race (there are no refunds for a canceled race due to weather)

VOLUNTEER
Get a front row seat as a volunteer!  Volunteers are needed throughout the event to help with participant body marking, directing athletes on and off the course, and handing out water and food.  All volunteers receive a t-shirt and a big thank you!!! EVENT RULES AND INFORMATION
1. Bike course- NO MP3 players, IPODs, radios or headphones allowed.
    Run course- they are allowed.
2. Helmets are mandatory. 
3. Drafting is not permitted. Penalties will be enforced for drafting.
4. Please remove all equipment from the transition area after the Awards Ceremony. 
5. Bike safety check morning of the event. (optional)
6. Chip Pick-Up is the morning of the event during the registration times. 
7. Course Closes: 3 hours after the start of the race and will be open to traffic.
    Any participants left on the course will still be allowed to finish but you will
    need to yield to traffic.
9.  Transition will close 15 minutes prior to the start of the event.
10.We do not give refunds nor do we transfer fees from one race to another.

*NOTE: "DuTriRun" has an unmarked security guard watching Transition at all times to protect and secure your equipment during the event. We need all bikes removed after the award ceremony so our staff can begin tear down.
