Toughman Wisconsin June 20, 2015

This year the park has limited the race to 900 total participants.

Toughman WIsconsin (formerly High Cliff Triathlon)

DISTANCE
Half: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run  Sprint: ¼ mile swim, 22 mile bike, 5K run

THE COURSE
Swim Course
The swim is in Lake Winnebago along a unique and panoramic shoreline; starting and finishing at the beach.  Plenty of buoys will be available to rest if needed.  Large balloon arch to sight for the swim finish. 
Bike Course
Both courses head out of the park climbing High Cliff.  High Cliff is the signature of the event.  The course flat with a few undulating hills. The long course heads down scenic Lake Shore Drive.   The sprint course begins the same as the long course then heads east on Faro Springs and finishes on the same long course.
Run Course
The run courses go through High Cliff State Park area including up the hill for a beautiful overview of the Lake Winnebago shoreline which runs mostly through trails. The long course is a double loop and also heads down High Cliff to the finish.   
About the Event
Waves go off  every 3 minutes. Half Iron must wear green swim cap and Sprint yellow swim cap.  These are provided.

BIKE and RUN AID STATIONS
Bike and Run Aid Stations are earmarked to comply with the needs of the athletes during their effort.  This is a place of support: ex. water, gatorade, gel, carbs, electrolites, simple medical and reception for the athletes.

EVENT FEES
This is a USAT Sanctioned event! If you are not a USAT member, add $12 to your registration fee for one-day USAT Insurance.

PERKS
We provide technically sound, safe, and exciting events.  Participants receive a dri-wick shirt, swim cap, food, beer and fun after the event. Half Iron receive a medal and water bottles on the bike course.

Bike racks will have your race number and wave you start in.  Each mile on the run courses will be marked. The long bike course will have a 3  bottle exchanges and plenty of aid stations on the run station

Transition area is guarded at all times.

PLANS FOR INCLIMATE WEATHER
1.    Delay the start of the race up to 1:30 hrs.

2.    Modify the course
3.    Cancel the race (there are no refunds for a canceled race due to weather)

VOLUNTEER
Get a front row seat as a volunteer!  Volunteers are needed throughout the event to help with participant body marking, directing athletes on and off the course, and handing out water and food.  All volunteers receive a t-shirt and a big thank you!!!  To volunteer: mike@dutrirun.com or call Mike at: 1-800-429-8044.

AWARDS
Awards given to the overall male/female and traditional age divisions.
This event is part of the Aurora BayCare Series which offers additional prizes.

PARKING
Please park inside of the park.  The streets are open for parking unless posted. If you do not have a 2015 Wisconsin State Park Pass you will need to purchase a pass from High Cliff State Park at the entrance when you arrive or at the expo the day before the event $7.

We suggest to park in the park only if you are doing the half iron. It is difficult to get in and out of the park for the sprint.
