Aurora BayCare TOUGHMAN WISCONSIN June 18, 2016

This year the park has limited the race to 900 total participants.

Aurora BayCare Triathlon & 5k


Aurora BayCare TOUGHMAN WISCONSIN (formerly High Cliff Triathlon)

Half: 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run  Sprint: ¼ mile swim, 22 mile bike, 5K run

Swim Course
The swim is in Lake Winnebago along a unique and panoramic shoreline; starting and finishing at the beach.  Plenty of buoys will be available to rest if needed.  Large balloon arch to sight for the swim finish. 
Bike Course
Both courses head out of the park climbing High Cliff.  High Cliff is the signature of the event.  The course flat with a few undulating hills. The long course heads down scenic Lake Shore Drive.   The sprint course begins the same as the long course then heads east on Faro Springs and finishes on the same long course.
Run Course
The run courses go through High Cliff State Park area including up the hill for a beautiful overview of the Lake Winnebago shoreline which runs mostly through trails. The long course is a triple loop and also heads down High Cliff to the finish.   
About the Event
Waves go off  every 3 minutes. Half Iron must wear green swim cap and Sprint yellow swim cap.  These are provided.

Bike and Run Aid Stations are earmarked to comply with the needs of the athletes during their effort.  This is a place of support: ex. water, gatorade, gel, carbs, electrolites, simple medical and reception for the athletes.

This is a USAT Sanctioned event! If you are not a USAT member, add $12 to your registration fee for one-day USAT Insurance.

We provide technically sound, safe, and exciting events.  Participants receive a dri-wick shirt, swim cap, food, and fun after the event. Half Iron receive a medal and water bottles on the bike course.

Bike racks will have your race number and wave you start in.  Each mile on the run courses will be marked. The long bike course will have a 3  bottle exchanges and plenty of aid stations on the run station

Transition area is guarded at all times.

(tax is included in the fees)

1.    Delay the start of the race up to 1:30 hrs.

2.    Modify the course
3.    Cancel the race (there are no refunds for a canceled race due to weather)

Event Links

Get a front row seat as a volunteer!  Volunteers are needed throughout the event to help with participant body marking, directing athletes on and off the course, and handing out water and food.  All volunteers receive a t-shirt and a big thank you!!!  To volunteer: or call Mike at:920-419-8936.

Awards given to the overall male/female and traditional age divisions.
This event is part of the Aurora BayCare Series which offers additional prizes.

Please park inside of the park.  Parking on roads adjacent to the park entrance causes traffic congestion impacting local neighbors. If you do not have a 2016 Wisconsin State Park Pass you will need to purchase a pass from High Cliff State Park at the entrance when you arrive or at the expo the day before the event $7 in state-$10 out of state.
